Ever feel like you just don't...quite fit in? If your answer is yes, I hope that you don't automatically take this to be a bad thing. In my opinion, being unique is a God-given gift. Why do I say this? Well, for one, there has never been another you since this planet was created. In fact, God has created you with a unique finger-print marking your unique identity. It is true that we all may share some similarities. However from the inside out, we are not exactly the same. This should not be concluded as something horrific and abnormal. In fact, it's quite normal to be different. I personally believe that one of the problems our society has is that we do not openly express and embrace our differences. Society has fooled us into thinking that in order to be considered valuable and worthy, we must speak, act, look, talk, and walk, etc. as they say and do. Don't get me wrong, there are some behaviors and ways that are not bad to model after. However, when it comes to things that are blatantly wrong or even brainwashing, problems arise.
The only one God asks us to be like is Him. He sent Jesus Christ as an example to us so that he could reveal to us his true nature and morals. Jesus' life models the perfect example of how we should live. See, God's priority is not in what we look like on the outside but who we are inside and whether or not our lifestyle lines up to his standards. It's true that we will never be perfect but, He still expects us to strive to be the best that we can be with His help.
On the other hand, if you feel as though you just don't fit in with the world, maybe it's because many of it's standards are far from the way God intended for us to live. That's where you being a leader comes into play. When we choose not to go with the negativity of the world and we choose to live life embracing the way God individually created us, we can be examples to other people who feel as though they cannot be themselves or as though there is no beauty in being themselves! Truth is, we are all fearfully and wonderfully made by the same God who created this entire Universe and all of it's galaxies. As long as we are not making decisions to harm ourselves and/or other people, it's okay to be ourselves. It's okay not to always go with the crowd. The road to righteousness is straight and narrow, and few travel it. However, the ones that do can help lead others into the light of a better way. : ) ❤ Miosha
